Title: Team Member, Streetscapes, Permanent - Full-time Role, 38 hours per week

Salary Range: $63268.37 to $73528.14 per annum + super (subject to skills and experience)

Parks and Recreation is responsible for areas and facilities that add to the community’s enjoyment of Council developed spaces, to encourage and provide for passive and active reactional needs. Parks and Recreation includes the following functions:-

• Recreation planning and management
• Reserves and commercial centres maintenance
• Beach safety
• Sporting fields
• Tree management
• Asset planning and management
• Business support and management

Our opportunity :
The key focus areas of this role include:

1. Chemical Application

2. Weed Management / control

3. Using plant and equipment associated with horticultural maintenance duties, include but not limited to; whipper snipping, edging, weeding, pruning, mulching, clean up etc.

About you :

We are looking for a responsible hard-working passionate person, who enjoys the outdoors and is community orientated with a good awareness of safety onsite and road reserves. We require:

• TAFE Certificate in Vegetation Management or demonstrated relevant experience in the horticultural field
• Class C Drivers Licence

• AQF3-Chemical certification (or willingness to obtain within the first three (3) months of employment)

• Chainsaw competency Certification (or willingness to obtain within the first six (6) months of employment)

It would be desirable if you held the below additional qualifications:

• Experience and knowledge of Local Government
• ChemCert
• Traffic Control tickets
• Construction White Card
