Lifestyle
We offer generous leave provisions including long service leave of 6.5 weeks for every five years with us. After 15 years, you get 2.2 weeks every year.
We will honour up to 13 weeks of accumulated sick leave and 5 years' worth of transferrable long service leave if you are coming to us from another Council.
We also offer generous Parental Leave subject to eligibility.
Eligible staff can take advantage of our flex time scheme, which could mean a nine-day fortnight for you.
Health and wellbeing
Eligible staff are entitled to free entry and swimming pool access at the Warringah Aquatic Centre (WAC) and Manly “Boy” Charlton Swimming Pool except during peak periods.
Staff can use the Civic Centre’s on-site gym for free.
Eligible employees can receive reimbursements for physical wellness initiatives; such as club memberships or sports events entry fee e.g. fun runs.
We offer free annual flu shots to all staff, plus free ad hoc health checks and assessments throughout the year, including skin checks.
Our Employee Assistance Program offers 24/7 access to professional counsellors to help you and your family if you need professional advice on issues affecting your health, work, performance or personal relationships.
Recognition and career development
Making a Difference is our employee recognition and service program. We encourage each other to call out the good, great and exceptional, the people and teams/groups who are making a difference daily. Our program offers on the spot, quarterly and annual recognition which celebrated at organisation wide events and in our communications.
