Salary Range: $66706.75 to $77524.33 per annum + super (subject to skills and experiences)

Reporting to the Executive Assistant, the role of the Specialist Administration Officer is to ensure efficient and effective administrative and research support across the Strategic & Place Planning teams to maximise customer satisfaction, provide information and advice, implement service improvements and enhance the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level administrative support to the Strategic & Place Planning business unit
  • Provide administrative cover for the EA of Strategic & Place Planning 
  • Review and manage Strategic & Place Planning processes and services 
  • Organise conferences or training, events, team meetings, appointments and travel 
  • Liaise with, communicate and provide assistance and advice to internal and external customers 
  • Assist with ongoing review and development of services, supporting change management, process & procedure reviews and ongoing performance enhancements
  • Assist with promotion of initiatives and policies across Council 
  • Undertake other special projects as agreed with the EA or Executive Manager Strategic & Place Planning
