Title: Food Services Coordinator, Temporary - Full-time Role, 35 hours per week

Salary Range: $80,432.60 to $93,476.28 per annum + super (subject to skills and experience)

Meals on Wheels is a federally funded Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) service that supports an independent and social lifestyle for seniors through the provision of tasty and nutritious home-delivered meals for residents aged over 65 or those aged over 50 years and who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.

Supported by two Food Services Program Officers and a team of dedicated volunteers, the Food Services Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the service delivers meals twice a day Monday to Friday year-round (except public holidays), weekly community lunches, and regular social outings that provide opportunities for social connection while enjoying a tasty and nutritious meal.

Our opportunity:

The key focus areas of this role include:

 

  1. Foster a positive team culture through mentoring, leadership and management of the day-to-day activities of team members and volunteers, with a focus on a person centric service.
  2. Operational management of CHSP funded Meals on Wheels Service in accordance with Government Legislation, CHSP funding standards and requirements,
  3. Ensure effective financial management of the service, including development and management of the budget and contract management with funding bodies, including grant reporting and acquittals.
  4. Provide expert advice on policy, risks and key issues to inform policy, practice and strategic relationships with key funding bodies.
  5. Develop and analyse reports and identify appropriate actions that will contribute to an efficient and effective service and improved customer experience.

 

About you:

We’re looking for a dynamic and committed in-home aged care services professional to join our Social Planning and Services team. As the Food Services Coordinator, you’ll bring aged care sector knowledge and food services experience to a team passionate about making a difference to our community.
