Salary Range: $40.88 to $47.51 casual rate per hour + super (subject to skills and experiences)

The Environment & Sustainability Division is responsible for a range of functions which support the whole of Council to deliver high quality services to our Northern Beaches bush land, rural and coastal community. The Division comprises of the following business units - Environment & Climate and Waste Management.

Our opportunity:
The key focus areas of this role include: 
Responsible for the smooth delivery of waste removal services to customers including 

  • Driving and operating waste collection, bin maintenance and delivery vehicles 
  • Installation, maintenance and cleaning of public place bins and associated infrastructure
  • Working either alone or as part of a work team
  • Ensuring compliance with work regulations including wearing approved uniform and use of personal safety equipment.
  • Ensuring tasks and schedules are completed to appropriate timeframes and standards
  • Ensuring appropriate vehicle care, maintenance and reporting
  • Ensuring timely and accurate reporting for the team as required by the Coordinator Litterbin Services
