Title: Recreation Planning Officer, Permanent - Full-time Role, 35 hours per week

Salary Range: $83126.66 to $96606.98 per annum + super (subject to skills and experience)

This important role is part of our Open Space and Recreation Planning team which develops strategic direction about the future of our parks, beaches, sportsgrounds and outdoor reaction facilities for our community. Examples of our work include Council’s Sportsgrounds Strategy and Let’s Play, Northern Beaches Open Space & Outdoor Recreation Strategy.


The Open Space and Recreation Planning team is one of six teams in the Parks & Recreation Unit who together provide our community with these services:

  • Open space and recreation planning
  • Business development and open space bookings
  • Parks, sportsgrounds, gardens maintenance
  • Beach safety and management
  • Tree planning and management
  • Asset planning, design, and delivery
